King’s Cross
The 19th of June 2024 saw the successful return of the Gratte Prix, following the phenomenal debut event in March last year. Held once again at our King’s Cross Head Office, this year’s Gratte Prix brought even more excitement, competition, and camaraderie, solidifying its place as a calendar highlight.
A Day to Remember
The inaugural Gratte Prix in 2023 set a high standard, and this year’s event did not disappoint. Team members from across the Group, from Field Engineers to Managing Directors, made time in their busy schedules to come and have some fun. The Gratte Prix also offered the opportunity to celebrate our partnership with MB Motorsport. We are proud that our partnership continues to thrive; a relationship that so far spans over three decades and is deeply valued by both organisations.
The Competitions Heat Up
Our Head Office was abuzz with anticipation as two custom-built race simulators were installed for the day. Staff eagerly booked their race slots ahead of time, ready to compete for a place on the podium (and endless bragging rights, of course!). While some competitors gave a performance that had the professionals worried for their seats, others proved that it wasn’t quite time to give up the day job. The ‘Top Gear’ style leaderboard kept track of the battle for first place, and as the day progressed, people came back to check their lead, have another go to defend their positions, and take on their mates.

The day concluded with the announcement of our winners, each having demonstrated exceptional skill and spirit:
- 1st: James Radovic
- 2nd: Harry Clark
- 3rd: Rohan Henry
An honourable mention goes to our work experience placement, Louis Bates, who came in a close fourth!
Warrington:
Post Match Review
The second and final stop of the 2024 Gratte Prix saw us visit our Warrington office with the team from MB Motorsport to deliver another day of fun-filled action. 378 laps were completed on the simulator track, and the seats were filled for the whole day. Starting the day off with a few practice rounds, the competition was soon underway with several people coming back regularly to check they’d retained their position on the leaderboard, and getting back in the driving seat to defend their rank.
After an intense final round to battle it out for the top 3 positions, the lucky winners were announced as:
- 1st: Andy Massey
- 2nd: Malcolm Bates
- 3rd: Warren Macready
Looking Ahead
As we reflect on the success of the 2024 Gratte Prix, we already can’t wait for the next one! The Gratte Prix has not only strengthened our bond with MB Motorsport but has also given our teams the chance to blow off some steam, have some fun and nurture the close-knit culture we’re so proud of having here at Gratte Brothers.
