Following our successful food drive at Christmas, we wanted to help collect for our local community again and were delighted that so many donated so that we could provide support for the Camden Foodbank.
Camden Foodbank is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust that runs a network of over 400 centres. Last year alone 3,183 three-day emergency food supplies were given to people in crisis and the need is increasing.
Whilst food banks receive the most support at Christmas, the time of year when they are most needed is during the summer when school holidays mean that children are at home and more meals are required, leaving stocks at their lowest. We were therefore extremely happy to hand deliver the results of our collection last Friday where we know they will be greatly appreciated.
