Last month, our Third Line IT Support Engineer Megan spoke on a panel, led by SC Media UK’s editor-in-chief Tony Morbin, to discuss the ever-growing threat posed by the Dark Web and the best ways to protect your organisation’s data.
Megan highlighted the rise in high-level impersonation and her belief that ‘criminals are seeing all the barriers in place and have decided it is the human factor that is the weakest point’.
The panel also discussed and debated key concerns including the different levels of criminals operating on the dark web, the variety of tools available to protect organisations, whether to keep cyber-security in house or outsourced to external provided and risk control processes.
