We’re celebrating 30 years of delivering excellent security solutions for our clients, procuring the best talent, and partnering with the best suppliers in the industry. This milestone means that we also celebrate 360 months of passion and hard work from our fantastic team. That’s 30 years of meetings, ‘quick’ calls, tight deadlines and urgent emails—plus a healthy dose of client socials, fundraisers, and great memories. We couldn’t do it without you, team!
Most importantly, we are celebrating 10,950 days (give or take) of staying true to our core values of empowering our employees, putting clients first, supporting our communities, upholding supplier standards, protecting the planet and last but not least, pursuing improvement, always.
We celebrate 30 years as a security systems and software company that delivers bespoke security solutions for your business. We appreciate all your support over the last few decades and look forward to what the next 30 have in store for us!

A key milestone would have to be celebrating my 25-year anniversary last year with Grattes and extra special as the other two old timers David Wilson and Whitty from GBSM were there to celebrate their own 25-year service.
For projects, a large supermarket chain have been our largest key account from the very start and still is today but probably helping GBSM to deliver on time the first global e-commerce fulfilment centre in the island of Ireland has led to continued growth in new builds works & maintenance contracts being set up.”

“When I arrived 20+ years ago, the installation department was well established, but the service department was in its infancy when I joined, I was one of four service engineers, we had one service manager and one helpdesk operative back then, now we have 35 service engineers with a strong senior management team, and growing helpdesk team that helps support the engineers, our clients and the continued growth of the business.
A notable change would be when we moved the service operations to our Warrington offices. We have gone from a corner desk on the 1st floor of Kings Cross to a dedicated office in Warrington which we share with the software development team.
The key project would be One New Change near St Pauls, this was one of the first large-scale IP security solutions installed and maintained utilising a network, which was a big change and advance in technology, a major change to the previously installed analogue solutions that were being installed and maintained. Although the building opened in 2010, we continue to service and maintain this building today.
Gratte Brothers being a family business at its core, it seemed only right that my son Samuel should also join the business, Samuel is now just about to start the second year of his three-year apprenticeship with GBSM having joined us as a 16-year-old in 2023.”
