This week, we’re supporting Mental Health Awareness Week, helping to solve the problems and stigmas around talking about and diagnosing mental health issues. It is estimated that 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem every year and therefore employers have a responsibility for the wellbeing of their people.
We understand the pressures on workers in the construction industry and the stigmas associated with talking about mental health. Therefore, we provide our staff with 24 hour access to external support for all life issues as well as trained staff members on hand to ensure that no one feels alone or without support.
We’re running a number of seminars this week to help our staff understand mental health, recognise problems, understand prevention and to know that we provide support for any of their mental health problems.
