Gratte Brothers has recently been involved in two very different redevelopment projects in two distant parts of London, which equally deserve a spotlight.
Gratte Brothers Catering Equipment Limited recently completed works that saw them involved in the Royal Borough of Greenwich’s £31m landmark project to turn 5 Grade II listed buildings on the Royal Arsenal into a new cultural hub, supplying and installing the commercial catering equipment required to bring the facilities to life. A site with explosive history, this project was delivered within buildings historically used as ammunitions factories during World War I.
Just as interesting is Gratte Brothers Limited’s recent completion of the Mechanical and Electrical Shell & Core Refurbishment within 135 Bishopsgate, a building of mixed office and commercial use and just one of the outstanding properties included in British land’s £1bn upgrade of London’s Broadgate Campus. This redevelopment aims to evolve Broadgate, London’s largest pedestrianised neighbourhood into a world-class retail, leisure and commercial destination. Gratte Brothers’ involvement on this project ultimately secured an International Safety Award based on Health & Safety performance demonstrated during delivery.
