This year’s Wimbledon Championships saw the All England Lawn Tennis Club unveil the new fully retractable roof on top of its second biggest court, Court No. 1 for which we were delighted to work alongside Sir Robert McAlpine and provide the electrical services.
The new roof was built over three years, however to ensure that no disruption was made to the Championships over the 3 summers, the project lifecycle was split into three stages. The project was brought to a halt each July to allow the two week period of Wimbledon to take place without any hindrance.
