21 Moorfields is a flagship, high-specification office development situated over London’s Moorgate underground and rail station. Providing approximately 55,000m² of prime office space across 14 floors, the development serves as Deutsche Bank's new UK and European headquarters and therefore requires a state-of-the-art security system. In addition to Gratte Brothers Ltd's MEP shell and core installation, Gratte Brothers Security Management Ltd was also appointed on this project to install the base build security systems in readiness for the fit out of this new building, which boasts a substantially resilient services strategy, normally only seen in data centres.

Scope of Works
Our scope of works for this project consisted of the installation of both internal and external CCTV, a full access control system and an intercom system, all based over the client’s IP network.
Also included was the security room furniture was also included in our scope of works along with a dedicated lift access control integration system to the scenic lifts, which was a major component of the project.
Challenges Overcome
One of the main challenges surpassed by our team was the booking and planning of deliveries, due to the location of the building, which is next to the Barbican and directly above Moorgate Station, as well as a lack of a store loading area.
Another challenge overcome seamlessly was cabling the access control and lift integration works through the scenic lift shafts.
