Gratte Brothers was appointed to install catering facilities in a new build London headquarters for a multinational investment bank in Canary Wharf.
As base build works were still in progress, deliveries had to be completed outside working hours.
The installation spanned 4 floors with a bulk storage area and 4 Cold Rooms in the basement; a Traders’ Deli bar on Level 2; the main staff restaurant with coffee bar, deli bar, and main wash up facility on Level 4; a Bistro kitchen; and restaurant with à la carte dining serving mainly clients and meeting rooms on Level 5.
Unusual additional requirements were; the installation of a passenger lift between 2 levels; delivery and installation of an imported pizza oven weighing 1.5 tonnes which required specialist lifting gear; and spray painting on extract canopies.
This was to date the largest single catering facilities project ever undertaken by Gratte Brothers and required a high level of co-ordination of activities and faultless teamwork. These stunning new facilities offer an immense range of dining options suited to the high specification demanded by the client.
