Set in beautiful Berkshire countryside, luxurious spa hotel Coworth Park offers idyllic relaxation and a range of dining choices from private dining to picturesque al-fresco options. This 5-star destination also features two fine culinary options: one Michelin starred restaurant, Woven by Adam Smith, as well as a more casual eatery in The Barn's stylish space. To compliment and support this refined offering, Gratte Brothers was appointed to ensure that new foodservice facilities of the highest quality were delivered.

Scope of Works

Gratte Brothers undertook the design development and installation of 4 new kitchens within this 100 bed, 5-star hotel and spa complex.

The installation included a stand-alone destination restaurant with a theatre kitchen called ‘The Barn’, satellite banqueting kitchens and spa catering facilities.

The project’s show piece is the hotel kitchen itself, which features rise and fall hydraulic heated service points, spanning a height of 1m and weighing 1 tonne, white granite work surfaces and cooking suites. The kitchen also has a stainless steel ventilation system with built-in UV light grease treatment system.

Project Highlights

Other features include a a bespoke copper 3-tier gantry, no less than 27 specialist refrigerated drawers and a Wi-Fi automatic temperature monitoring system, that records all the individual fridge temperatures, 24/7, across the whole site.

The year-long programme for the refurbishment of the hotel was tied to a society event. To ensure there would be no issues with the catering for this event Gratte Brothers completed the installation well before handover to ensure staff had time to acclimatise to the new equipment.
