Overview
The fulfilment centre within which the works took place uses a software that enables efficient on-grid robot picking to streamline the grocery selection process. To ensure that the client’s fire positive policy is adhered to and a safe site is maintained alongside the use of this software, Gratte Brothers was appointed to supply and install a rapid fire detection system, which boasts near zero false alarms, and is linked to a chamber alert system.
The chamber alert system is designed to provide local visual and audible alerts to staff upon activation of the system’s sensors within the chill and ambient chamber. The chamber alert system also ensures that on activation of those sensors, that the bot charger is disconnected and an alert sent in the form of two relay outputs.
The sensors also provide early notification of a fire event by combining early flame, smoke and thermal detection.
