We recently had the honour of hosting celebrity chef, Tony Singh, at our King’s Cross Head Office for an evening of culinary adventure. It was a meal that will go down in Gratte Brothers history; ten lucky clients and colleagues from across the Group got to experience the incredible menu prepared by Tony. This once-in-a-lifetime experience was won at a Micawber Lunch charity auction, by Board Director, Martin Gratte.
The evening was hosted in the Waterside Café at our Head Office, overlooking the Regent’s Canal. Guests were greeted by the sight of the newly redesigned Reception space and were then welcomed through to the restaurant which had been decked out for the occasion.
Each dish was a carefully curated masterpiece, reflecting Chef Singh’s unique flair and dedication to his craft. Singh’s Scottish and Asian heritage influenced the menu which included dishes such as Haggis Pakora, Punjabi Salmon, and Perthshire Partridge Thalasseri Black Pepper Masala. Delicious!
Throughout the evening, Chef Singh shared insights into his culinary philosophy, techniques, and the inspiration behind each dish, enriching the dining experience with his expertise and charisma. Guests were not only treated to exceptional food but also to stories that added depth and meaning to the evening.
What made this event even more special was its charitable aspect. The proceeds from the charity auction went to support The Genie’s Wish charity. This is a charity that works to deliver bucket list wishes for people aged 0-40 who are living with critical or terminal illnesses. Knowing that every indulgent bite contributed to making a positive impact added an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience.
One of our core Group values is Supporting Our Communities, this experience was a chance to combine our commitment to social responsibility with an opportunity to connect with some of our esteemed clients. It was a moment of celebration, gratitude, and great food that will be cherished for years to come.
